WWE 2K18 Game Full (Review)
The new graphics engine and revamped modes may not be enough to stave off a sense of stagnation to the core gameplay for series veterans, but for the more casual fan there’s so much content here to enjoy that it still feels fun.
I really enjoyed every match I played albeit at times wishing things were just a little bit different and played more like wrestling and less like fighting.
There’s also the brand-new Road to Glory mode. Unfortunately this wasn’t playable at the hands-on, but a presentation gave a glimpse about what to expect.
It basically looks like an online version of My Career where you must take your created wrestler from wannabe legend to the top of the food chain.
It seems like a much more interesting way to interact with your created wrestler, as you’ll be facing off against other players online.
I just hope the objectives which will need to be met to progress through the rankings aren’t only based on winning matches. The best part about wrestling .
is it’s a performance and too often matches against players who don’t “get it” devolve into a fight for the win. You don’t actually need to win to be the star of the show
The world of WWE is a bizarre one to anybody not swept up in it which is why the 2K games can be a hard sell to non-fans.
Like most other sports games not much changes year on year and while WWE 2K18 brings revamped modes and a new graphics engine, core game play feels largely the same. But, despite this I can’t help but love it
